For this session I was found through my website….I wish more would find me here….but I am working on that 😉
My client wanted information on my maternity and newborn sessions. I do discount my newborn sessions when both the maternity and newborn are booked with me. Payment is still separate but I want my client to know that I appreciate them!
The couple requested the location to be by water but the tricky part was that we would be shooting on a holiday weekend. And around New Braunfels on a holiday weekend, normally our water/ rivers are packed. But this year all of our river parks have been closed. I reached out to a photographer friend and was asking her about another location that I knew and if she thought it would work and then she recommend this spot. My husband and I took a drive one day to check it out. It was ok the first time I saw it, not my favorite location but it had water and another area with some pretty open fields and trees. It was pretty dried out when I first went there. So that it the area we booked for.
A few days before the shoot we had some great rain roll in. I was a little nervous thinking it wouldn’t dry out in time, but we are in Texas, lol! And I am so thankful for that rain! It made everything so green again, just in time for my shoot. We met there and instead of having a beautiful sunset, we had a beautiful dark sky which made for a more moody look. I love a good sunset shoot but this I loved just as much!
There was not a lot of people there and we had the part of the water all to ourselves. It was beautiful! I will definitely be using this location again. I can’t wait to give it a go on a sunny day to see the difference.
I am looking forward to meeting their sweet baby girl in just a few more weeks. How gorgeous is she?! It is their first baby and she was still so tiny. I feel like for some of us with our first baby’s it takes longer for us to start showing, or least for me it was this way. Now the second baby, not so much!
I am so happy with this session <3
