Happy 1st Birthday to this guy! I can’t believe a year has already gone by. I did a lifestyle session with him and his family when he was just a newborn. I have enjoyed watching these kids grow. They have such a fun and loving family surrounding them.

We started out earlier in the day for his birthday pictures, but he was not having it. We all have those moments, lol! Mom had asked to do some pictures of all the kids with a sunflower to go along with her decor so we decided to tackle those first. Then we rescheduled for later in the day to give mom a chance to put him down for a nap. When we met back up, he seemed in better spirits but once we started he was still not having it. Thankfully his cousin came along and her and I jumped around and sang like goofballs to try to get him to stop crying, and with all of our efforts, we finally got him to calm and get some good shots, whew!

Annual Birthday Session

I have been doing this little girls pictures ever since she was ONE. Every year I look forward to hearing from her mom to set something up. And every year we choose a totally different location. This year she went for the sunset time.

Ari has so much personality and spunk. I just let her run around and do her thing. Sometimes those are the best sessions. It lets me grow as a photographer to learn how to adjust and it lets my client have so much fun! We both win in the end with genuine smiles and lots of candid shots (my favorites)

A Family Affair

This family <3 Goodness, we had so many laughs! This whole family is so easy going and laid back and they have the best sense of humor! I had met one of the families before and I knew they were going to be a favorite. She is also a boy mom, like me, so when the boys would start to goof around with one another I could totally relate. Boys definitely have a way shorter attention span when it comes to posing for pictures.

I was so happy when she decided to book an extended family session with me. I love these types of sessions. They do get a little crazy at times with cousins being around cousins but I think it is so important to have these done.

I remember my grandma setting up a full family session one summer when we came back home to Indiana for a visit and at the time I didn’t realize how important it was for her to have some pictures of her entire family. It is a special memory I will always have <3

Cake Smash Sweetie

Happy 1st Birthday to this little one! I met her as a newborn and it’s so neat to see how much they grow that first year. I recommend doing their pictures a few times that first year since they do change so quickly.

Her mom was telling me that she is such a happy baby, and then of course when my camera comes out, no smiles. But once we brought out the cake, she was a happy girl!

I adore this family. They have been with me for almost my entire journey. I have watched them grow as a couple and then expecting their first son, and then expecting their daughter. I can’t wait to see what God has in store for them next! They do the parenting thing so great!

Birthday Session

This kid! I have been photographing him since we was just a few days old. His mom contacts me every year to do his birthday pictures, and I love it! This is definitely a perk of my job, is getting to watch my newborn’s grow each year. I love to see how their little personalities sprout. And this kid, is too cute! Every year we do a Pittsburg Steelers and a monster truck setup, two things that he just loves!
