High School Fun Portraits

When we did the fair last year I asked my niece and her friend if they would do some modeling for me.  I have never shot at a fair or carnival before and I have always loved those types of pictures with the rides in the background all lit up.  It was a little challenging with it being dark out but it was a neat way to find the light and work with what was available.  I love trying new things and then getting these kind of results.

These girls were so cute and they didn’t mind posing with a lot of people around us.  My niece is always up for modeling when I need her and I love that about her!  When I was a kid I was so shy and would probably never do anything like this with so many people around.

Our fair has been cancelled this year but I am looking forward to when it happens again.  I will for sure be taking my camera along with.

Boerne, TX Maternity Session

I met this family through a facebook group.  She was new to the area and looking to have some maternity pictures done.  I am so glad I reached out because this was another awesome family to work with.

We met at a nature park in Boerne, TX and she wore this cute green dress and she thought maybe it would be too much green but I thought it went great together.  I love using color on color in my newborn sessions so to my eye it worked.

She brought along her husband, daughter and younger sister and I just thought it was so neat that she wanted everyone to be included.  The girls were so cute and to see the connection they have with each other was so sweet.  I ended up meeting her baby girl just a few weeks after we took these.  I’ll be sharing her session soon <3

Sweet Baby Molly

With each session comes a story.

I love getting to know my clients and hearing all about them and how they became a family.  This family were my sister’s old neighbors and found me through her.  I am so thankful they did!  This sweet girl just stole my heart.

She was perfect for her session.  She loved being wrapped and warm.  And you can just see what a happy, loved baby she is by how many little smiles we got.  Her big sis was amazing as well.  She is 2 almost 3 years old and took direction so good.  She definitely is in love with her little sister.

Mom and Dad really wanted to document this time in her life since they already started treatment on her cleft lip.  I saw her a few weeks before this studio session and I could even tell that progress was being made.  It’ll be neat for her to look back one day and see the changes from when she was born.  I am grateful to be able to give them these pictures.

I want to encourage others to not be ashamed of their sweet baby’s imperfections.  God made us just the way He wanted.  If you desire to have those newborn pictures done, do them.  Don’t be embarrassed, you are a voice for anyone else who may be going through something like this.  This is a time you will never get back and to be able to look back and see the changes would be enough for me!

Look at how beautiful this sweet girl is <3

Newborn Twins <3

This session was good for my soul <3

I met this sweet family around Christmas time and she told me she was expecting twins!  She looked amazing and she was having a boy & girl.  This is special because she already had 2 boys and now she would finally get a girl plus another boy!

Twins are special.  I find it so amazing to be blessed with 2 little miracles.

So when mom reached out to do their pictures I was over the moon!  It’s not everyday or every year that I get to photograph twins.  They are double the work but totally worth it!  And it’s really neat to see either how much alike they look, or in this case how completely different they look.

I am now back to booking newborns!!!  It was a tough almost 8 weeks of not working but I know my first newborn session I will be so grateful for this dream that was given to me.  I absolute pour my heart and soul into my work and I am very thankful for each one of my clients that hire me to give you these special images.

Please scroll though the pictures below.  Both babies were full of smiles 🙂

Now Booking Newborns May 2020

Well what a relief!  It’ll be close to forty days of no work, no bookings.  It’s been a long forty days to say the least.

Being a small business definitely has it perks at times, but not during this time.  Since I don’t pay into unemployment, I can’t receive that.  I did try to get a PPP loan but I didn’t qualify so it’s been a struggle.  I have a large overhead between rent, utilities, and insurance so not working for forty days has not been fun.

My heart hurts for other small businesses going through the same thing.  Once we get back reopened, I ask you to maybe think about supporting small.  These are your neighbors in your community.  They have families they are raising and bills that will need to be caught up on.  These are the people you ask to support your local fundraisers.  The next time you go to a big box store, maybe think about if there is a small shop that could give you something of the same item, it’ll probably be even better!

I would love if you chose me for your maternity, newborn, family, Senior, or wedding pictures.  I put my heart into my business and I would love to give you something to cherish.  I would appreciate it so so much!

Now take a peek at this sweet baby <3  He was 3 weeks at the time of his session but still slept so good.  I can’t wait to start booking again!
